Experienced global optics & photonics veteran hired to bring technology to market

 

Alkmaar, The Netherlands, February 8th, 2022

Dutch photonics scale-up PhotonFirst has appointed Fiji born, Toulouse educated, and Bristol based Nick Singh (1970) its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to succeed Founder and CTO Pim Kat who retired in December. Nick brings over 25 years of experience and track record of consistently delivering innovative and commercially successful new technology products and services to customers in the UK, Europe, China, South Korea and the USA. Nick is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) with a PhD in Plasma Physics from University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse (F). He gained extensive expertise is in multidisciplinary engineering and new product introduction in high-tech market segments like semiconductors, photonics, flexible electronics, analytical instrumentation, water and energy. Nick has worked internationally with very talented and diverse teams based in Europe, the US and Asia for companies like Scienta Scientific and Oxford Instruments.
