Assembly engineer

with a keen eye for detail

The role

  • As an all-round Assembly Engineer, you will be part of the Production team and work for both our "Interrogators" Business Line and our "PIC Packaging" Business Line.
  • First of all you will be trained for the assembly of interrogators (measuring systems). Once you've mastered this, we'll then train you in the skill of housing photonic chips, known as PIC packaging.
  • You'll work with very small and sensitive components. You'll need a keen eye for detail, as well as a healthy dose of patience and concentration. Advanced machinery is available to assist you with certain steps in the process.
  • Following guidelines and instructions helps you deliver high quality. You'll document all process steps carefully.
  • In addition to assembly work, you're willing to take on a variety of tasks within the production team, such as:
    • Measuring fiber optics, checking mechanical components, and performing (visual) inspections on chips
    • General maintenance and cleaning of the cleanroom
    • Processing current orders in our ERP system (SAP)

  • Preferably, you have completed a technical education at MBO4 level, supplemented with several years of work experience;
  • Have a good to sufficient command of the English language (English is the main language in the company).
